Let’s Code Together

Today: Rebuild our intro-slides with modern web technologies

LOCATION: Luzern
KEYWORDS: Hands-On, Open Source, Technology

AGENDA:18:00 - 21:00h with Pizza-Break

Unfortunately, this event has to be canceled due to a lack of registrations.

This event will be different: Instead of a talk or workshop, we’ll be coding together as a community to improve an open-source project that benefits our Java User Group.

You’re probably familiar with the animated slides we show before every presentation. The JavaScript behind it is so outdated that no one on the board even remembers when it was originally written. The code is unmaintainable, causing issues in some browsers. Yet our supporting members are crucial, as their support makes our events possible.

Our goal for this session: Rebuild the animation from scratch using modern web technologies. We want maintainable, future-proof code that works across all current browsers.

We’re especially looking for members with experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but anyone eager to contribute is welcome!

🚀 Join us and help make our JUG better!
