Kubernetes and containers, in general, are more and more the preferred run-time environment for Java middleware applications. Since Java 9, there are many efforts to optimize the JVM for container environments.

In this session, you will learn different ways to optimize your Java application to run in containers. From enhanced class sharing to native compilation. But also, how to build small Docker images and to run them with correct configurations, with respect to the resource-constraints of your environment.
