Java Flight Recorder is a powerful event recording engine, built into the JDK. It allows users to do profiling and diagnostics of heavily loaded production systems, with very little overhead.
In JDK 9 the JFR APIs will become supported. This means that you can now rely on the JFR APIs for both controlling the Flight Recorder and for introducing your own custom JFR data into the recordings.
Also, with JDK 9 a new major, and very different, version of Java Mission Control, the tool used to analyze flight recordings, will be released.
This session will provide a sneak peek into what the new APIs for
controlling the Flight Recorder will look like, as well as provide
migration guidelines from the old APIs.
The speaker will also go through some of the highlights in the completely redesigned JMC 6.0.0, such as the automatic analysis of flight recordings.
