Loom / Virtual thread monitoring

From observability to production

LOCATION: Bern
ROOM: vatter Business Center, Bärenplatz 2, 3011 Bern, Room Frutiger, Travel instructions
KEYWORDS: Language, Performance, Tools

AGENDA:18:00-19:15h: Talk incl. Q/A
After a (hopefully) interesting talk, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with the speaker and professional colleagues over beer, wine and rich finger foods.

SPEAKER: François Joubaud   COMPANY: Worldline

By pushing the runtime to its extreme limits, virtual threads requires some adapted observability: What are the available means as of today?

What should we measure and how? Let's review the state of the art on Java 21+ and cover some cases illustrated with analysis reports (generated with Jeyzer).

Based on those points, we will discuss a pragmatic adoption of virtual threads in projects, considering a path to production.
